Bolette Named After Historic Family Matriarch

If the problem persists see our troubleshooting guide. Fred. Olsen's new flagship was proudly named Bolette after the great-grandmother of company chairman Fred. Olsen. The name was chosen to pay tribute to the family's rich maritime history that spans more than 100 years.

A Maritime Family History

The original Bolette was the wife of Fred. Olsen's grandfather, Petter. She was a strong and independent woman, and her name is said to be a symbol of good luck and fortune. Captain Mikael, who hails from Finland and has spent 40 years at sea, will command the vessel.

The new Bolette is a state-of-the-art cruise ship that will sail the Norwegian fjords. She is equipped with the latest technology and amenities, and is designed to provide passengers with a truly unforgettable experience.

The christening ceremony was held in Bergen, Norway, and was attended by Fred. Olsen and his family, as well as other dignitaries. With the naming of the Bolette, Fred. Olsen continues his family's long tradition of maritime excellence.
